Nanaimo Condo for Sale, Apartments / Condominiums
In an effort to be a complete resource guide to both Buyers and seller's of Nanaimo Real Estate I have included a guide to some of the condo complexes in Nanaimo.

As of Sept 20 2011 there are 204 condos for sale in Nanaimo ranging from $79,000 -$999,900. From Jan 1 to Sept 20th 2011 there were 155 condos sold leaving aproximatly 1.5 years of inventory on the market. Sale prices ranged from $45,500 to $600,000 with the median average at $203,000.

Inventory is down slightly from last year prices have fallen about $20,000. Note that the lowest sale price of $45,000 was due to an assesment.
Your typical 1 bedroom condo is more likely to start at $
100,000.

 

You will find a list below of condo buildings that have been active in Nanaimo this last year. If you are interested in availability of any of these buildings let me know. The active number of condo listings in Nanaimo changes daily. Condos under $150,000 have been especially active. Newer luxury condos have also been very popular. It's great for seniors that want to walk to grocery shopping and the bank.

Many of the condos have excellent ocean views. Built in the 80's this was one of the nicest complexes in Nanaimo. Located at 2560 and 2562 Departure Bay Road these apartments are steps to the beach and shopping. Features included in many suites are panoramic view of Departure Bay and the coast mountains, disposal units, dishwashers, wood burning fireplaces, in-suite laundry, Jenn-Air Stoves. (some units may vary).

This complex has parking licences and when you buy a unit it may not include an underground spot.

These attractive waterside condos are in a 75 unit complex. They have nice floor plans (some with views), in suite laundry, secured entrance and underground parking. It is close to shopping and a short walk to downtown.

Underground parking balconies and gas fireplaces are featured here. Right next to Terminal Park shopping centre it is conveniently located. Close to sea wall, liquor store, save on foods etc.

This building built above the former Eaton's department store. If you like downtown Nanaimo living this is in the heart of Nanaimo. Several have ocean view. Most if not all units have washer / dryer and dishwasher hook-ups. They are fully rent able (as of Dec 2009). It seems to be a well run building with very clean and well kept common areas. No pet policy in place.

I am very familiar with this building (I sold 7 of the 13 units in 2007, average price $147,000 however the water view units sold for $30-100,000 more.

In 2008 2 units sold $145,000 and $159,900 (mountain side).

8 units sold in 2010 with an average price of $177,571 (Jan - October).
