Nanaimo has many wonderfully luxury homes with amazing ocean views. On a clear day you can see Vancouver and the mountain ranges beyond. With the baby boomers retiring there has been more and more demand for high end custom houses. Many retirees formerly living in colder climates want an ocean view and the ability to play golf most of the year. Nanaimo is blessed with not only one of the most moderate climates but spectacular views. Nanaimo waterfront homes are a bargain compared to what the same home would cost in Vancouver.
